Why Oh Why?

Reasoning for the creation of Zero CM

Why? This question is totally unreasonable, and for that, I reply with a question to you: why in the world not? For heaven's sake, I love this couple.

If you ask me how to summarize Atsushi and Risa's relationship in one sentence, I'd be at a loss. (unless you allowed me run-on sentences.) Mostly because it's impossible to describe their story without squealing at least ten times mid-way, or just because I'm afraid I'll start rambling relentlessly (and I have a science paper to do!).

Pondering the question.

I really don't know where to start; their relationship is truly one of a kind. In all my years of reading shoujo manga, a world where anything — from princesses to ancient curses to superpowered teenage girls — is possible, I have never once come across a pairing quite like Atsushi and Risa. Their interaction and constant bickering is enough to anyone laugh and squeal with sheer joy, and is truly the pinnacle of Lovely Complex's success. Although certainly no fairytale couple (the giant princess carrying the bite-sized prince in her lanky arms; sense something wrong with the picture?), their mutual understanding of each other—better than anyone else's—shines through in every chapter.

Through romantic rivals, misunderstandings, and constant roadblocks, both their relationship and trust in each other have only grown through time. It's incredible how much they've made my heart twist in both joy and despair with even the slightest of gestures. Despite the 15.8 cm difference, I won't hesitate to say that they truly are a match made in heaven.
