Keiichi Wakaouji
Name: Wakaouji Keiichi (last, first)Age: Unsure; probably around 20 - 30
Role: Keyboardist
These days around, you would see Wakaouji
in a white doctor's suit. But don't let
his neat appearance fool you. Back in his
days as the keyboardist of Route L, he
had very long hair, and his style was the
complete opposite of what a normal doctor
would wear. I guess you can say he was
the most popular one of the band although
I would go for Ta-kun, him having the
largest female fanbase of the three, who by
the way nicknamed him "Ouji" (from his family
name Wakaouji), which can be translated
as "Prince". Wakaouji didn't let all the fame
get to his head - he's a very responsible
and caring person, and is well-admired.
I guess you can consider him a father / elder
brother figure to everyone.
After Route L disbanded, Wakaouji gave up on the music industry and pursued a career as a doctor instead. He is Mitsuki's doctor, and in the manga, he was also the one who performed the surgery for Takuto. After Takuto jumped off the hospital roof, Wakaouji felt very conscience- stricken. However, Wakaouji finally made a comeback in the music industry by taking up the job as Full Moon/Mitsuki's producer, causing quite a stir and giving Mitsuki quite the popularity boost. His experience proved to be quite beneficial as well, and Mitsuki wouldn't be where she is now without Wakaouji's help.
Wakaouji's first love was Kouyama Hazuki - Mitsuki's mother, and also the girlfriend of Koga Aoi, the guitarist of Route L. He never felt contempt towards Aoi, even though his love was an unrequited one, because Wakaouji never felt Aoi was at fault, and was a truly kind person. He met Masami Ooshige, Full Moon's manager, and an ex-entertainer. She had a huge crush on him, and it still stands years later. After Wakaouji became Full Moon's producer, he realizes Ooshige's love for him and in turn loves her back.
