Tohru is the kind-hearted heroine of the animanga Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya. She is the only "outsider" who knows the Sohma family secret and whose memory wasn't erased by it. As both her parents are deceased, she lived with her grandfather, but soon moved out to a tent alone as a result of the house being renovated. Her "tent" turned out to be part of the large backyard of Shigure, Yuki, and soon Kyou Sohma, and after discovering their family secret, life for her has never been the same again!

You can most likely see Tohru with a smile on her face, no matter how bad it gets. She also posseses an angelic personality, always putting others before herself and looking at the bright side of things. She always cherishes what she has in life, including Uotani Arisa and Hanajima Saki, her two best friends, the wonderful memories with her mother, and of course, her friendship with the Sohmas.
